It makes no sense to me what so ever that your mother would place this anxiety and pressure on you when you have clearly stated that you can not afford the funds for this.

To me it seems that you have done your best to reach some sort of middle ground and have even tried to compromise with the suggestion of an apartment.

So I'm not sure entirely why it is that your mother can't see your point of view.

I just want to acknowledge the difficulty of your current situation and say that I hope that you are able to sort something out that serves you well in the the long run
