I truly believe that we are our own best dream interpreter. . . . after all, it's our own brain that creates the dream!

That said, I'd offer up a guess that you're right on when you talk about believing that your dream is coming from a very "young" part of yourself. When we're young, we often want to merge or be "one with" the person we feel close to or who we see as offering nurturing, compassion and care. In our minds, when we are naked, we are at our most vulnerable . . . our most exposed. In your dream, both you and your therapist are naked. I personally would see this as a very good thing--as opposed to you being the only one naked in the dream. Often when we dream of being naked and everyone else in the dream is dressed, it's because we feel exposed and vulnerable and left to our own devices to deal with the pain of that exposure and embarrassment. In your dream, you and your therapist are both naked--perhaps you see her relationship with you as her offering herself up to allow that merger, that sharing of self . . . or perhaps that is your very young parts "wish" of what could happen. I don't think you have to worry about the dream being erotic or anything sexual. To me, it sounds much more maternal in nature than anything erotic. When a young child seeks nurturing from it's maternal figure, they often lie against the "mother's" chest to seek comfort and warmth. Pressing your ear against her chest to "listen" to her heartbeat is pretty standard "child seeking comfort".

I think the part of the dream about your therapist ignoring you, leaving or disappearing is fairly common to a lot of dreams about abandonment. It too is a very young feeling. A feeling of not getting what you need or want. We ALL want to be acknowledged, recognized and seen on a deep level. Dreaming about that not happening is anxiety and fear of that not happening.

But then, all that I've said above might be totally NOT what is meant by your dreams As I mentioned, dreaming is so personal.
Thanks for this!
