I think that's a great dream to share with your T :-) I once dreamed I had my head in my T's lap and she was stroking it and I managed to share that with her :-)

If this were my dream, I would think it meant I had, or was wishing for, a relationship with my T like I enjoyed watching between the two old folks. You (rightly) predicted you and your husband wouldn't have such a relationship but you're obviously capable of such (which is why you "enjoyed" sitting with your T and found it so relaxing) and your dream seemed so natural.

I would also look to see if my T represented anyone else in my life. In my dreams when my T or my husband were in them it meant there was "difficult" stuff I was "safe" to look at and think about in the dream, everything would be "all right." My T and husband acted as support to my dreaming self just like they were supportive in waking life. I still remember a dream when I was brunching with my T on a weekend morning and a dinosaur reared up out of the river next to the restaurant, I think a brontosaurus (it was chewing river weed :-) Obviously, "old" stuff from my past I had been having trouble or would have trouble facing but which it was time to face.
