I was BP Not Otherwise Specified when first diagnosed. This is basically a wastebasket diagnosis that means "it looks like bipolar, walks like bipolar, but we don't know which flavor you have." I wound up with a bipolar 1 diagnosis but it took a long time (and a lot of episodes) to get there. Don't sweat it, you'll get a definitive diagnosis at some point.
