My boss fussed at me for months to take some time off. I'm finally doing it, which she then complained about!   The woman is a piece of work!
Anyway, I am off until next Thursday. I go in for one day (have to attend a couple of work related meetings). Then I'm off again until July 6th!  Am taking another week off in July and four day weekends in July. Yes, my agency has a very generous time off policy and I rarely take time off during the rest of the year.
Two paragraphs later I finally get to the reason for the post! My idea of "vacation" is not like most folks. I have no plans to travel. Another member posted once that where they live has everything they want in life. I have to agree. I live on a farm out in the boonies. Most everything I want in life is right here on the farm, why travel?
So, Thursday I spent weeding flowerbeds and spreading mulch. Yesterday I pressured washed most of the outside of my house (thunderstorm prevented me from finishing) and stacking the rest of the cord of firewood I got a couple of weeks ago. The rest of the week will be more work in the yard, resting, working on jewelry, reading. I'll probably go spend a couple of days at my Mom's house since there's a pool there. Probably not most folks idea of a good vacation, but sounds like heaven to me.
