Happiness - been thinking about this word lately. I've never met anyone who didn't want to be happy. This board is filled with people who want to be happy. The Dalia Lama says it's our purpose in life.

If it's our desire and purpose in life - why is it so hard?

I think there are two fundamental flaws here. There is no "happily ever after" in life. Happiness is a temporary color, like all the others in this kaleidoscope of life. If it were constant, we'd become immune to the feeling - it would be just another day in life. Without pain/sadness, we wouldn't truly appreciate the joy of being happy.

The other flaw is the definition of happiness varies among individuals. What makes me happy, might not make you happy.

What makes you happy?

What do you think it would take to make you live happily ever after here on earth?

Thanks
