Well, if somebody I have a lot of respect for informs me that my posts are not constructive and my point of view not valid, it would be wrong of me to continue. Especially since the post that attacked me was thanked by several people I consider to be my friends. It's fine, I apologised to the person and they don't seem to harbour any grudges so it is all water under the bridge. But it made my life rather difficult for a stupidly long time, and I don't intend to put myself into that situation again if I can avoid it.
