I don't think my parents believe in mental illness either. They were told when I was ten to take to me to a psychologist and never did. I believe things would be different if they had. My mother is a trigger for me due to the past and present. I live five minutes away and see them a few times a year. So basically I've kicked them out of my life because it's not worth dealing with that crap. I just wanted to let you know it sucks when things like that are said, and I'm sorry.
