I'm often more low in the summer, in UK it's not desperately hot, but maybe SAD or something that happened in summers when I was young that coloured my mood later in life. At least I can remind myself that winter can be less awful so I hang on for a better season. I don't know, but the effect is less obvious now I'm older so maybe hope for you.
