I have seen many many posts here about how everybody hates seroquel. If anyone has followed my posts they would know that I have been on seroquel for over a year. Yes, there are side effects. It makes you drowsy, gives you dry mouth, racing heart etc etc. What are the long term effects? Who knows I'm sure there is an encyclopedia article on that. HOWEVER: Like I say I have been on 100mg morning, 100mg afternoon, and 200mg at night for 16 months. I thought that it changed my brain chemistry in two weeks. Then I felt good, and thought it changed my brain chemistry in 6 months. I felt better, and thought it changed my brain chemistry in a year. It did, and continues to do so. What happens is after taking it so long, and being steady and feeling good for so long I have actually begun to forget how bad I felt before. It's like a chemical altering the mind, then the mind altering the mind, because of the chemical. This medication is a miracle and has given me my life back. I am schizoaffective. You might find this that or the other thing unhealthy but let me politely remind you that if you don't have your sanity, you have absolutely nothing. From one crazy person to another, please listen to the professionals and stay on the prescribed pills. You won't regret it.
