Definitions

I wonder
Why you care
About things you don’t know
Are you really here
With me and in my soul

Velvet declarations
Smooth the edges of my pain
Angular doorways become arches

Illusive, incongruent, and searing
Inconsistent, uncomfortable, and unbearable
Yet blessed, invaluable, and loving
The insidious, hidden me
