Anger is a natural, instinctive and healthy emotion. It is the "fight" portion of fight/flight/freeze physiological survival mechanisms. The trick is learning how to use it in productive and healthy ways, how to let it help you and give you some much-needed 'oomph' and determination and courage in the right situations. But if a person is conditioned to fear their own anger and try to ignore or suppress it, it only causes more problems on down the line, because it is a natural, instinctive part of us.
