I was traveling oversees and saw this woman from a distance that had the most beautiful, intricate lace hosiery on her. Everyone in the group noticed how lovely they were.

When we got up closer realized it was just her own natural hair. I wasn't sure if I was more shocked, repulsed, or impressed.
If my hair grew like that I might be more inclined to let it go, instead I have patches (and of course it mostly grows on the front sides

) these days as I have gotten older but it is still so dark for the summer and noticeable that I keep shaved. However in the winter I don't bother to give the skin a break.
It is curious you should mention it Socklesswonder about letting armpits grow out and body odor. I have found the opposite; the odor was worse over time with letting it grow out so now I keep shaved at all times. I noticed that too in traveling in other countries where shaving is taboo, there is more odor. You can become more accustomed to it but it still permeates the air. I know this is not true for everyone and glad it is working for you, but for those it doesn' t, it can be especially hard to be comfortable in tight spaces, such as traveling on trains, buses, planes and in autos, and especially while dining. Though I know some partners in particular prefer the hair and this natural scent, I just cannot oblige.
More power to the hair and hairless, whichever we choose!
