everyone was euphorically hypomanic, all the time. What would it look like? How would society be structured? Would it be a more peaceful or less peaceful world? More just or less just? Overall, better or worse? Would you want to live in a world like that?
I think that such a society would be much faster-paced and productive than our current world. People might have more cardiac conditions from the stress and constant (internal and external) stimulation. I think peace would be harder to maintain, because everyone would have the motivation, drive, and energy to fight as hard as possible for whatever cause they support. But I think the inhabitants of this hypothetical hypomanic society would be much more insightful than we are, with a better understanding of science, religion, and philosophy. People would just be more driven on their quests for truth.
