So according to a few sources I've been looking at, ADHD can lead a person (usually adults/inattentive type/those with SCT, it sounds like) to be easily fatigued. I would have to say I am one such person.

Many people would reach for a coffee in such a situation, but not me. It's never woken me up/given me that "jolt" of alertness that people describe they get from it. Instead all I get from very *small* doses of caffeine about 1/10th of the content of a cup of coffee (or even small doses of other xanthines like theobromine for that matter) is anxiety and a dose of insomnia. Then it ratchets up to serious gastrointestinal distress once we get to the level of coffee content.

So I'm curious to hear about ADHD folks on here (or that you know):
  1. Do you find your/their ADHD is associated with fatigue?
  2. How does caffeine affect your system?
  3. Do any/all stimulant meds make you sleepier, more alert, or "wired"?
