I also recommend ruling out a possible eye problem by seeing a proper eye doctor about it (optometrist). Then also have a primary care doctor check you out. That way you won't have to be second-guessing yourself when your next step is to tell your psych professional.
I went through this process, and for me it did turn out to be hallucinations, which got worse over time during bipolar episodes. For me the sort where things are moving and shouldn't be is the type I get due to high stress levels and sleep-deprivation during mixed states. It can usually be quickly remedied if I am able to get proper sleep.
