I go through this period slowly, step by step, trying to do what I regularly do everyday slowly, without making it hard on me, but also without giving in to just spend the whole period's period (nice word ) in bed doing nothing, 'cause I know that if I give in to this, I might end up depressed even after my period's gone (for my wasted days in bed)... (My period takes about 5:6 days)...

But also a side-note: Don't tell your mind that this is something more than just "the period's bad mood", & don't ever think that it's a depressive episode that will last beyond the period's period 'Cause our minds are very intelligent & self-conscious of our thoughts, so if you're gonna think that it's a long depressive episode, your mind will just act like it's a long depressive episode... Our minds act obediently to our thoughts, even if they're negative thoughts & we don't mean them to act accordingly!!!
Wow thanks this was really helpful! I am on lamictal but no matter what **** goes down the week before and at the beginning. SSRIs were no good for me. I guess its just something you gotta deal with ugh.

I have a big problem jumping to the worst possible outcome. thinking when things get bad they are bound to get worse so I appreciate the advice! Even my T said part of my problem wasn't getting worse but rather anxiety about the prospect of things getting worse. Trying to stay in the moment and take things as they come.
