I remember coming here a lot for school and depression issues, and it helped me considering how I loved having support from everyone I'm coming back after a long time since my depression can really aggravate me, plus I'm going to college soon (next year) so I need some help with that. Here are some things I've done to keep my body healthy:

HAIR AND BODY - I suggest everyone this method - although it takes effort, endurance, and patience - called no-poo or low-poo (good for starters). I came upon this method around this Feb., and it made my hair thicker, curlier, and more natural (It grew about 1.5-2 inches over 2.5 months!). For those who don't know, it's a method for hair-care without the use of products that contain everyday, harmful chemicals. It sounds like it only benefits the hair/scalp, but it works wonders for your body and spirit.

EYES - There's this eye-correction technique called the Bate's Method. I've been doing it for a few months, and since then I didn't have to get new glasses this year, a first! I finally managed to buy a book last night for more professional methods (although how professional can it get from stretching and looking outside?). My eyesight didn't get better yet, but it's maintained.

MEDITATIONS AND SKINCARE - I like to meditate when I have free time. A sense of calm always overcomes me so I can be isolated only with my thoughts. Another thing that helps my body is facials :P Instead of inhaling the smell of products, I use masks like turmeric, egg whites, yogurt, etc. Funny thing is how the face smells w/ the turmeric mask, 'cause it smells like it's cooking (the smell is unbearable at first, but it's something you can get used to!) Now I don't look too tired or sick because it tightens my skin and brightens it~

These are a few things I've done for me. I ask everyone to do something that helps you physically and mentally , something that connects you with nature, for example. I've been somewhat happier, and I gained weight!
