I don't quite have what you describe, but there's something similar that I do. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

I didn't make it through school, but right afterward I ended up getting a job in the field (Video games) as QA. Things were going great. Too great, apparently, because it got overwhelming. I stopped showing up for work and spent all my time indoors on my computer, in my own little world. I got a few more similar jobs and they all ended the same way until I gave up.

Now I'm just trying to get SSI to survive because anxiety keeps me inside and depression makes it hard to motivate.

Maybe it's a little similar?
