I know this is an old thread, but I never check out this forum generally. I came here to read your posts, Ozze, since you mentioned them to me. I just thought I would chime in here and share my own experience.
I've always been a wimp when it comes to scary movies. But this summer it got a LOT worse. I had been dealing with some pretty scary memories (of physical abuse) and feeling much like I did as a child sometimes. One day (middle of the day) I was watching the movie "The Sixth Sense" with my roommate. You know the part where it's late at night and the little boy hears a dead woman yelling at her husband in his kitchen or something like that? Anyway, the sound of the woman yelling PANICKED me. I was TERRIFIED. I had to have my roommate turn the sound way down, and I buried my head in my pillows and put my hands tightly over my ears so I couldn't see or hear anything. I just wanted to cry my eyes out. I was so afraid. My heart was pounding and I could hardly breathe.

I felt like such a baby. I was acting like a 5 year old! lol
So yeah I can relate, lol
