College is a big investment of time and money without guarantee of employment in your desired field of study, depending upon the field. Educators do tend to work in education, but many other fields aren't a certain employability. Especially after money is spent. Do you anticipate liking your campus? I started with uncertainty after an overnight visit when I was still in hs. My hostess, i dunno, i didn't quite click with. Yet, my hs friend and I visited her brother, who was there. Which was more positive before beginning. It's an adjustment to new people, new surroundings, like having to start from scratch. Living away from home. My mom's and my relationship blossomed, however. Was able to have her and i time on the phone, at least. She was enmeshed in her relationship with my stepdad from the second weekend after the divorce to my father. That was at least a positive to take away from headed to college.
