Hi,
I just found this thread. I have fibro. I have pain in my back, shoulders, legs and especially my derriere. I couldn't sit anymore. I had to stand or lay down on my sides, which were also painful. Finally, my rheumatologist ruled everything else out and came up with my dx.
Please go to a rhuemy and tell her what you've told us. She'll test you and see if you have another kind of arthritis, (I have Sjogrens also), or just fibro. I can tell you it just doesn't get better without some medicine from your Dr. and you do have flares from time to time.
My Dr. gave me my life back and I do pretty well most of the time. When I'm down, I'm miserable, but when I'm doing pretty well, I really enjoy my life. I wish that for you and your son, too.
There is a sub thread in this forum for fibro sufferers and perhaps you'd like to participate in it or at least read it to help you along.
