I do think my gad is worse than my bp. It permeates both my up and down, so my up is always anxiety ridden, which makes it crappy. I don't experience euphoric mania, or if I do it's overshadowed by my anxiety, which makes it suck.
Oh, and it's unfortunate because (other than the last person I was seeing, who recognized how severe my anxiety really is) doctors always focus on the mood thing, and the anxiety gets pushed to the side, when that's what my main problem is.

Re: anxiety
For me it's the opposite in that doctors and therapist have always been using anxiety to stall treatment. This happened with my bipolar, sleep apnea and asthma. I'm glad I have one now that doesnt let me use it as an excuse to lower my Tegretol dose. He sees thru it to recognize my mania by my long writings and expressive hand gestures, I suppose. I guess for me BP is the cause of the sleep and anxiety problems so I'm right as rain now but if yours is cormid, then both are really important. I'm trying to work on getting my sleep apnea seen as as serious as my BP with my pdoc and vice versa with my pulmonoligist. I wish everyone would just get on speaker or email each other so I don't have to be the go between!!
