Have you seen/been to the graduate housing; could be married couples there too, the big universities sometimes have that?
I did grad school online and found it was a little less informal with people a bit more serious and having more going on in their lives so less able to "hang out" or socialize, were more invested in careers, etc. It can be a bit more competitive feeling or the opposite, a bit vague feeling with everyone doing their own thing. With undergrad you had people coming from all places but studying all sorts of things whereas grad is more people coming from all places but more focused, no "general" studies classes where you might be in liberal arts but meet someone in science or business? There subtle differences, it's a more "grown up" sort of experience (like work :-) not as "school" feeling.
