I don't want a tattoo, but I like looking at them because of how awesome they can look. It's OK to have a tattoo to make a statement, but something so hard to remove and so personal should not be a trend. The point of these kinds of aesthetics is to personalize them, show a part of you (literally and metaphorically), and to make them special to you. While the semi colon tattoo does show a part of people and there is meaning as long as people are aware of it, it's not as special if everybody's getting the same thing.
