Some possibilities:
Lack of sleep/interrupted sleep pattern
Interrupted daily routine
Travel
Stress/anxiety
Major life changes (new house, pregnancy, marriage, etc)
Personal conflict/arguments
Goal pursuit
Social stimulation (friends, opposite sex, etc)
Seasonal changes
Hormonal changes
Alcohol/drugs
And so on....
