As for my advice, Bella, I would suggest finding as much information as you can about the disorder, and learning about it, then working from there. As well, speaking to a trusted friend, or a Therapist, can help you to vent any frustrations you may feel in regards to your situation. Both of these things can help you better understand yourself, and the possible reasons why the behavior exists.
You are not alone, especially not here, where we all have unique, and individual ways of dealing with stress.
