I've also been diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder. I came across PC while looking up stuff about the disorder. Mandy, you said you never bonded with your mother? Neither did I. Though I can't say my family is messed up; they're pretty much the norm. I'm third oldest of eight.

Once my psychiatrist told me i had SPD and gave me some literature about it, suddenly everything fell into place. The reason why I was the one teased and tormented throughout elementary and high school; why after only a few words I can't continue a conversation; why I never really wanted a relationship; why a lot of things, I guess.
