One thing I've noticed about perfectionists in my experience that they are very insecure and try to hide it by controlling everything in their environment and keeping things orderly and if someone says anything negative they take it personal as a a character flaw. I used to do that too and worry too much about what other people think, but then just recently I realized that I am only responsible for what I say and do and my body and what I own and that's it. If someone doesn't like something about me, that's out of my control number one and number two if they judge you for a flaw like that then that says more about them than it does about you.
