You have an absolute right - and obligation - to take a proactive role in your health care.

Medications should only be prescribed when the anticipated benefit outweighs the risks. There is real risk associated with every prescription med, and when they're combined, often more so.

It's good to hear you are in therapy and participating in a behavioral program. I am a firm believer in the benefits on this, and it's ability to lessen the need for meds when people do the necessary work.

Given multiple provider(s) and program participation, I'm wondering if / how much they communicate regarding your care. Perhaps a "case manager" would be helpful, someone through a program, bound by all the legal protections, trained and knowledgeable to serve in that capacity, who you allow direct contact with you caregivers. For one thing, they can communicate information about your care from one to the other if needed. Second, they can help you objectively assess your care / progress on an ongoing basis.
