Emwell, I wish I had good advice for you! I'm sorry... I tend to skip the tests too . When I've had them, having a doctor that I knew and trusted (my old primary care doc used to do mine) helped... and asking her to go slowly and letting her know I was nervous/freaked out. It probably helped, for me personally, that it was a woman. Good luck.
