You can apply for Obamacare if you were kicked off of Medicare. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, being kicked off of another insurance is a 'qualifying event'. I was on it for about a year, and I thank God that I did because I wound up being hospitalized twice. It would have been tens of thousands of dollars had I not had insurance.
