So lately I have been completing bipolar screening tools online. My diagnosis, from a pdoc who specializes in psychiatry, is bipolar II.

Here's the funny thing about these screening tools though: I keep receiving mixed results. I scored high enough on the psychcentral bipolar screening test that they considered my symptoms to be moderate-severe, but when I completed another bipolar screening test the results came back as "little or no bipolar disorder."

What...? Wouldn't these tests be more consistent? Or am I lying about something on these tests?

Anyways, my question is to you guys is have you ever been through a similar situation? Receiving mixed results about your diagnosis? Questioning your diagnosis?

I don't doubt that I am bipolar. When I took my first antidepressant without an antipsychotic, I went into an elevated, uncomfortable mood. I heard that this happens a lot with patients who have bipolar and/or borderline personality disorder. I'm curious as to what you guys have to say about this...
