Hi, I'm new. I've been visiting this site and forum for months now. I feel safe here. Everyone is kind and caring.
I'm in therapy and on medication. I'm married with two dogs. I knit, crochet and other crafts.
I started cutting myself when I was 5 years old. I remember getting my bathroom stool so Icould reach Dad's razor blades. And like everyone else here, I tried to act normal.
In 1985 I got help. Back then C-PTSD was called something else. Years later with therapy and AA, I was high functioning and led a content life.
In 2014 a crazy neurologist prescribed Clonazepam for Essential Tremor. (Sent there to rule out Parkinson's.) My C-PTSD reignited. Only this time I have physical sensations during flashbacks and have many more details.
Thank all deities that this website had the article about benzodiazepines and PTSD. NowI know why my brain is scrambled.
