Maybe you need a hobby. Hobbies can be enjoyable and make you feel good.

Do you get out to interact with friends much? I enjoy being solitary most of the time and don't get lonely but sometimes I go out with a singles group just to enjoy other peoples company. Maybe you could take a cooking class and meet people or a photo club or whatever interests you. Or perhaps you could do some volunteer work. Nursing homes are full of lonely people who would enjoy your company for a few hours each week.

Do you like animals? I am looking to get a cat. They are good company as are dogs. Even birds can be fun or a hamster or such if you like animals.
