I am starting to really think about things with him as he is going through puberty. He is expressing himself more.

Yesterday, he was "worried" for me. I had gone out and told him where I was going. I was gone for several hours, 5?

I told him I was leaving, his older brother was home, I had my cellphone.

When I got home, he grilled me for where I was. He said he thought there was a small chance I had a car accident!

He clearly showed "worry". That, to me, is empathy.
