Hi Gayle. I have been trying to find another Bipolar 2 sufferer who has a very slow cycle for a while now as I wish to compare notes and various ways of dealing with the symptoms of this disorder. Thanks for replying. Up until last may I had been in a semi low depression for the last nine years. Last may I went into hypomania for 5 weeks where my energy and depression just disappeared. This was probably triggered by the
spring sunshine as I also have a large element of Seasonal Affective Disorder.
The weather here in the UK through this last winter has been very bright and although
I have had a mild depression I have remained relatively well. I know that I am still mildly depressed as I have little energy and have to pace myself accordingly.
Have you read my post (top tips for bipolar 2 sufferers ) After last mays hypomania I have tried to improve my symptoms by various means which I believe are working to
a certain extent. I no longer have the sudden drop in mood which feels dreadful .
This of course could be due to a number of the top tips.
I am hopeful that my system is working but it could be just that my slow cycle has not come round again. I sleep for twelve hours a night (Dark Therapy)
This is the best I have felt in years since 2004 when I was finally diagnosed and put on 5mg of Olanzapine a day.
What are your symptoms ? And what other alternative treatments have you tried ?
Thanks again for replying.
