I was misdiagnosed with unipolar depression for decades, given Cymbalta alone from 2000 to 2011 until I crashed. It was the most destructive time of my life. Without a mood stabilizer it shot me into orbit. It negatively affected my urinary tract as a whole and was sexual death for me. Now we know giving an antidepressant alone without a mood stabilizer to someone truly bi-polar is a big mistake...but that info wasn't out there then.
