Get off line and get involved IN school. Join some fairly active organizations that are service-oriented like student council, honor society, various interest groups/clubs. Find the like-minded people in your school and start joining in. If you aren't involved with them, they are not going to seek you out. You have to be involved consistently AND actively on a regular basis. Until you go that mile, you will continue to be on the outside of things.
