I have had some issues with sleep so I like that aspect. It did not put me to sleep but once I got to sleep I slept for 9 hours without interruption. Plus it did do what is designed to do: get me out of depression. For some people, maybe even most people, it does not suit them because they gain weight and find it so sedating they walk around like a zombie for most of the next day (its best taken at night). It also has less sexual side effects for most people.

I am currently on wellbutrin. In my country it is not subsidized and I don't have health insurance. It cost me about $3 a day. I have been on it for about 4-5 weeks and I am at the maximum dosage of 450mg. I am out or depression but it remains to be seen how much out of depression. It is often added as an augmentation to other meds in the USA. It is stimulating slightly which suits me during the day but not so much at night. It also has recuded my appetite which i don't like but hope that side effect lessens. It is a unique med becaused it acts on dopamine and norepenephrine and not on serotonin - a med in its own class. It is not regarded as amongst the more powerful meds.

Thank you so much for your reply! The Wellbutrin actually sounds like something I could try in combination with my Cymbalta. Does the stimulating effect last into the night if you take it in the morning? I could use that effect during the day, but of course I don't want to be up all night! My insurance should cover it without much expense, so I might give it a try.
