I told them I used to get social security from my dad before I graduated, and they said I could get my dad's social security back if they say I'm disabled before the age of 22. I requested all my records for the appeal. I feel very confident about getting disability. I have an appointment August 14th to file the appeal. My neighbor has been helping me throughout the disability process because she's been through the process. I feel accomplished today.

dont mean to sound rude, but is your dad deceased? my dad died when i was 10 and the SSDI that i get is his. it's called survivor's benefits. since i clearly didnt work enough to get disability and since he died before i was 18, i was awarded disability because i was deemed disabled since age 16. i got approved in like 4 months
