For me, I'd rather be alone than be treated like this and pretty much played for a fool. It is not going to be easy, but she needs to get rid of him. Tell her she deserves someone who will treat her well and she's not going to find him staying with this idiot. So sorry this happened to your friend. And I will add that I would not feel bad giving this kind of advice to her as she needs someone who will be honest with her....the life she's living is riddled with uncertainty and pain. Who needs that?
