When I saw the subject line my first thought was we would be up a creek without some technology. Then I read the post.
Me? My cell phone is a basic flip phone. I use it to make and receive phone calls. My work cell has texting capability which is nice for work. No Apple products of any kind. Oh yeah, I have a WiFi capable tablet I can use at work. I HATE the dam thing! The screen is way too tiny for my poor old eyes and the thing has so many glitches it's unbelievable!
I don't use Facebook or Twitter. I belong to Linkin for professional reasons, but don't belong to any other social media sites. I prefer to keep my on line activity as private as possible. I realize that there's no such thing as complete privacy on line.
I don't have cable or satellite TV. Plain ole over the air broadcast is fine with me.
My internet connection is an aircard I plug into my PC.
I know I sound like a Luddite, but I'm not. I appreciate the technology that makes my life easier. It makes my car function. Computers make simiple work of things that used to be a major pain in the but. Anyone remember manual typewriters? Anyone remember the complete pain of typing with carbon paper to make extra copies? Anyone remember the real pain of correcting typos on those carbon copies??? I just don't need to be plugged into electronics all the time. I haven't been at PC for a couple of days because by the time I got home from work I'd had my fill of using a computer. I spent my evenings reading real, paper books!
