It's a matter of misunderstanding I believe.

When the executrix (Phyllis) and I spoke with the lawyer in December, he said, after 6 months from the date of Phyllis' appointment by the court, we should be able to disperse the first part of the settlement from the estate. The first part is about 1/3 of the total amount I should be receiving from auntie's estate. The other 2/3's will be dispersed one year from auntie's death (November).

I believe that Phyllis probably either didn't understand or forgot what the attorney said and she put the money after her appointment into high interest bearing accounts. Like I said before, that is a good thing, but she should have kept the first 1/3 available within 6 months and the rest could stay for the year.

I'm tempted throw my anger back at them and let them know I'm not happy with this situation. As Wants2 alluded to the fact that I shouldn't have counted my chickens before they hatched, I was only going by what I was told by the people who were in charge. Phyllis knew I was going to need that money to accomplish some things this year. I also have some medical needs that should be attended to and I'm holding off because I have no insurance at the moment.

I don't know...I'm just so frustrated at this point and I'm probably better off just sitting back and waiting. I tend to say things I don't mean when I'm angry so I really work hard at keeping those thoughts to myself until I can convey them in a more professional and calm method.

Thanks for your support joe, as always I do so appreciate YOU!
