LOVE IS:

accepting another completely regardless of the warts
having the courage to confront when you know something isn't right
finding just the right words and the right moment to bring up concerns about the other person as well as concerns in your relationship with that person
giving hugs and/or kisses
wanting to spend meaningful time with that person
wanting to just BE with the other person
knowing how the other with react to any given situation
forgiving indiscretions
giving 7X7 chances to begin again
having the courage to disagree and agree to disagree
having respect for the other's wishes, privacy, opinions
trusting the other person
wanting for the other person what they want/need for themselves as long as it's good
defending/protecting the other person and what is in their best interest
helping the other person become self-sufficient and independent; to be the best that they can be
to think before reacting in case of disappointment or anger
to exercise patience and understanding when boundaries clash
be ready to be the first to say "I'm sorry"
to respect the other's relationships with other people
to have the courage to allow the other to be who they truly are
to have the courage to let go if and when the time comes

Above all, "If you think something/one is yours, set it free. If he/she comes back, they were truly yours to begin with. If he/she doesn't came back, they were never truly yours."
