Once I had a mare (female horse) that had a very treatment resistant corneal ulcer. It took NINE MONTHS to heal. I reached a point of such exhaustion that I would sit in the corner of her stall and sleep between times to medicate her. At one point she laid down and put her head in my lap. We'd both nap until it was time for me to squish medication in her eye then go back to sleep. I was 25 years younger when that happened. No way I'd survive that sort of thing today.

I missed one time medicating him last night. I spent the night sleeping on the sofa fully dressed. Set the alarm on my phone to wake me every two hours. One of the times I just could not force myself to get up. The vet called in a script for a pain medication for Kyote that I have to go pick up today. Driving this tired ought to be fun - NOT!

edited to add...

I forgot to mention it's raining here. Been raining for days. Is going to continue to rain for days. So I not only get to troop out to the barn every two hours around the clock I get to do it in the rain!
