Hi everyone!

Here's a little background. I took Zoloft during my pregnancy with my first child. I continued taking it during his first year while I nursed him. Everything was fine (and seems to be fine), but the Zoloft didn't seem to work well enough on its own for me.

So, my GP switched me to Lexapro. I'm taking that now (20 mg/day) and I started seeing a new pdoc. She added Wellbutrin XL (150 mg/day) and so far I'm noticing a nice improvement.

Here's my question. My husband and I are thinking about trying to have another child. My pdoc said that there is not much information out there yet about Wellbutrin and pregnancy. I don't remember if she said the same thing about Lexapro. She recommended that we try this combination for about three months (before trying to get pregnant) and then decide what to do. She also asked that I talk to my OB/GYN about it, which I will do.

I made a quick attempt at researching this myself online, but I ran into a lot of websites that are selling the meds instead of providing any real information.

Are any of you aware of the effects of Lexapro or Wellbutrin on pregnancy/nursing? Or do you know of specific websites that would help me find this information?

I also plan to speak with my OB/GYN before I make any decisions. I'm just getting started with all of this.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,
Laurie
