Where they a lot more lenient back then? I think most doctors nowadays are very strict with giving out prescriptions for benzo's. Though I still see some people on them every day for months on end. It's really dangerous. My pdoc said you either take something to control your symptoms (like an AP) or you don't take anything at all. They're against PRN's unless you're in a hospital inpatient setting.
