I need a MRI for my shoulder but I can't even handle open mris. I panic. So the doctor tells me I have to go to a hospital to get fully sedated and so that they can change monitor my breathing and vitals. I had one scheduled and like 2 days before it was supposed to be, they called and said I had to pay almost $400 when I arrived. There was no way I could afford that and it makes no sense. Plus it was at a hospital that was an hour away when theres one within walking distance of my house.

The hospital and the doctor I went to didn't do anything except give me pain meds. My neighbor knows a spine doctor. She goes to him. And her dad knows the MRI place owner and I could get a discount because a MRI would be like $600 because I don't have insurance. Deep down I hope it's something serious, so my family would feel bad for saying I fake it to get pills for my boyfriend's mom and little sister. But if it is serious, I don't know how I will pay for treatment.
