I like this thread and appreciate hearing about accommodations that have been helpful. My son is starting high school next year and I just got an IEP for him. He was a great student and just got "pronounced 'gifted'" after 6th grade. But in the summer before 8th grade he became ill (still not sure what kind of mental illness) and couldn't do his school work. He may have asperger syndrome and be suffering from anxiety or he may have a psychotic disorder.
